Here is the list of cars which will be discontinued from the market.
Car safety standards are being upgraded in India to match international benchmark in order to reduce accidents.
By October 2019,all cars will be mandatorily required to have Dual Airbags,ABS, Reverse parking sensors as standard equipment.
Cars will also have to pass new crash test regulations to ensure safety of commuters in case of accident. In future,Advanced Driver assist system can also be made mandatory for all cars in India.


TATA MOTORS will withdraw NANO, SUMO & SAFARI from the company's portfolio due to lack of sales and safety homologation.










MARUTI SUZUKI has already stopped producing the GYPSY and soon it may be replaced by JIMNY.OMNI,the iconic mini van will also be discontinued.









MAHINDRA will pull the plug of the VERITO & e20,only two commercially available electric vehicles since it cannot adhere to the upcoming safety standards.




HONDA may discontinue the entry level hatchback,BRIO in order to adhere safety regulations.









HYUNDAI has already discontinued the EON,when the company launched Santro.

FIAT brand has been struggling with sales and also due to upcoming safety regulations,the company will bid adieu to India by the end of 2019.
Some of the cars maybe updated and relaunched in a different name or will Rest In peace.
