Aprilia Storm 125 launched, the company’s most affordable scooter at price of Rs.65,000(ex-showroom,India)

Aprilia Storm 125 launched, the company’s most affordable scooter.

The Storm 125 shares its engine with the SR125 producing 9.5bhp of maximum power and 8.2Nm of torque transferring power to the rear wheel via a CVT gearbox. Like the SR125, the storm 125 is built on a tubular steel frame. The Storm 125 uses what look like 12-inch wheels, but the design looks similar to the 10-inch ones seen on Vespa models in India and not like that of Aprilia’s SRs. These wheels are paired to drum brakes that will feature CBS. However, it is still not known if the company has a front-disc-brake-equipped model on offer.

Aprilia has made many changes, almost certainly in order to cut costs, it hasn’t swapped out the Vee rubber off-road-oriented tyres for regular ones. These tyres are expected to be the same ones we saw at the Expo, measuring 120/80 at the front and 130/80 at the rear. In comparison, the SR sports 120/70 section rubber at both the ends, and it recently switched from Vee Rubber to MRF Nylogrip Zappers.

Priced Rs.65,000 (ex-showroom,India)
