Updated Maruti Suzuki WAGON-R Launched

The new Wagon R shares its Heartect platform with a number of Maruti Suzuki models like the Ertiga, Ignis, Baleno and Swift, which makes it lighter than the outgoing model and capable of meeting upcoming crash test norms.The new platform also sees the Wagon R become larger than its predecessor – the wheelbase is now 35mm longer and the width has increased by a significant 125mm.

Wagon-R is available in 3 Variants - VXI,LXI,ZXI.

LXi (Rs 4.19 lakh)
Base Trim LXi Features 1.0-litre engine,5-speed manual,Driver’s side airbag,ABS with EBD,Rear parking sensors,Speed alert system,Seat-belt reminder,Door-open warning,13-inch steel wheels,Manual air-conditioner,12V charging socket,Central locking,Front power windows,Integrated headrests for the front and rear seats.

VXi (Rs 4.69-5.36 lakh)
This Trim gets 1.0-litre engine & 1.2-litre engine options with 5-speed manual & 5-speed AMT and boasts features like Speed-sensitive door locks,Wheel covers for the 14-inch steel wheels shod,Power adjustable wing mirrors,Tilt adjustable steering,Keyless entry,Front and rear power windows,Day/night inside rear view mirror,60:40 split folding rear seats,Audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity,Steering-mounted controls.

ZXi (Rs 5.22-5.69 lakh)
Top Trim gets only a 1.2-litre engine with 5-speed manual & 5-speed AMT options and has features like Dual front airbags,Seat belt pretensioners and load limiters,Front fog lamps,Rear defogger, washer and wiper,Power folding and adjustable wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators,Tachometer,7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system,Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Major Update on the new Wagon R is the addition of a more powerful,83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine.It is available in four trims – VXi, VXi AMT, ZXi and ZXi AMT.Other variants,LXi,VXi,VXi AMT gets the old 68hp,1.0-litre petrol engine.
