McLaren 720S Spider Unveiled


New 720S Spider is the most accomplished convertible supercar ever from McLaren, combining the thrill of open-air driving with unparalleled Super Series dynamic performance and sophistication.

It follows the 720S Coupe design elements but the spider gets retractable Hard Top and extremely strong Monocage II-S carbon fibre structure along with active rear spoiler.

Lowering or raising of the roof can be done in 11 seconds at vehicle speeds of up to 50km/h.

Bespoke carbon fibre body structure and new Retractable Hard Top (RHT) support a lightest dry weight of 1,332kg and the supercar measures 4,543mm in length; 2,161mm in width;1,196mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,670mm.

Powering the 720S Spider is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 710bhp and 770Nm.

Acceleration from 0-100kmph is same as 720S Coupé at 2.9 seconds; 0-200kmph in 7.9 seconds; maximum speed with roof raised is 341kmph and with roof lowered is 325kmph.

720S Spider is priced at £237,000 ($269,764)

Delivery commences from March 2019
