Skoda Scala Revealed

Skoda SCALA makes Global Debut.

The all new Scala is the first production model in the next stage of the ŠKODA design language’s evolution. It takes its inspiration from the VISION RS study.

The side profile is more of a conventional hatchback with a roofline that tapers towards the rear and then falls sharply at the tailgate.The most notable feature at the back end is the new, spelt- out Skoda name with no company logo.

On the Exterior the Scala gets Full LED Headlamps with DRL,as well as Tail lamps,Roof spoiler,Optional Panoramic roof,18-inch Alloy Wheels,Darkened rear window glass extended over the 5th door.

On the interior the hatchback is fully loaded with Virtual Cockpit with 10.25-inches display, a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system,Dual zone air conditioning system,LED Ambient Lighting with two available colors,Heated Steering wheel and rear seats and a first in class always online feature which helps to make emergency calls and proactive services with the help of eSIM in the Scala.

Electronic Safety Kit of Scala includes nine airbags,Side Assist,Lane Assist ,Front assist with emergency braking system and occupant protection system along with all the basic electronics package.

The new SCALA is the first ŠKODA based on Volkswagen Group’s state-of-the-art MQB A0 platform and it measures 4,362mm of length;1,793mm of width;1,471mm of height and a long wheelbase of 2,649 mm.

Scala comes with four engine options with three petrol and one diesel options.

A 1.0-litre three cylinder TSI engine at different state of tune produces 94hp and 113hp of max power with 175Nm and 200Nm of  max torque. Slightly larger 1.5-litre Four cylinder TSI engine with 147hp and 250Nm is also offered and a 1.6 Four cylinder TDI Diesel engine with 114hp and 250Nm is available.
